The Hills

Okay, I'm not a fan of the show. I think I've watched it once or twice while surfing the tube and I really couldn't stand it. I just wanted to share these pastel drawings made by artist Karin Bubas of the main characters of this "reality" show. They're really amazing and she really captured the "essence" of each one of them and it just makes me laugh my ass off!

My favorite one is Audrina, I just can't help but laugh everytime I see it!

On another painful note, I just watched Speidi's interview on the Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien. I must say it was one of the most awkward interviews Conan ever did. Here's a clip where Spencer reveals that he's planning to run as President of the United States. God help America! LOL

Recent Purchase: Venus & Mars

After reading Ida's post on Venus & Mars' Lulur soap, I decided to buy one myself! After browsing through the selection of soaps, another soap intrigued me. One of their latest products is the Pureglow African Black Soap and it is reported to relieve acne and other skin irritations. I am so desperate to get rid of my acne so I added this to my order. It's pretty pricey at PhP 215 a bar but I'd say it's worth the investment if it works. I'll be using this tonight along with the Lulur Bar for my body. I'm quite excited!

Jamie also included a blush sample from her mineral makeup line. The shade is called Pretty Bliss. I couldn't exactly describe the shade but I'd say it's some sort of terracotta shade that gives a really flushed effect on the cheeks. Very pretty!

Here's how the African Black Soap looks like. It is like a slice of very fudgy chocolate cake! It smells like clay, I wish it did smell like chocolate!

OCC Lip Tars, Wanna Share With Me?

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics burst into the Youtube makeup scene when it participated in this year's IMATS. Famous gurus like Jude Rivera, xsparkage, Makeup Geek featured these amazing lip products and they have nothing but high praises for them.

Now, the makeup junkie in me wanted them all as well but living here in the Philippines made it a little bit hard for me to acquire them. I stumbled upon a multiply store that is going to sell these for PhP 750 a pop. I asked the site owner and she said that she will have all the colors by the end of November. These normally retail for $12.50 a tube containing 8 mL (approx. PhP 625) so the seller marked up the price by PhP 125.

Would any of you ladies here be interested in sharing these lip tars with me? Since 8 mL is totally a lot for such a pigmented product, I think I could do with half of it since you really only need a teeny, tiny amount to cover your lips. Does this sound like a good idea? I know everyone is on a tight budget but if anyone is interested, just let me know. I'm not really decided on anything yet so I may just scrap the entire thing if I change my mind. I'm not planning on getting all the colors, maybe some of the primary ones for mixing. :)
